ABSTRACT
The principle of separation of power, first developed in the ancient Greece, was widely accepted and adopted by the Indian judiciary which said that there has to be an independent functioning of each of the three organs of the government. Judiciary being one of these organs is supposed to be independent from other organs as well as from any other likely influences. The judiciary is a system on which the citizens and states completely rely on, in wake of fair and equitable justice. And, this impartial and uninfluenced justice can be delivered only when each and every chunk of the judiciary inclusive of the respected judges, is free from pulls and pressures. The readers through this research study will get to know the basic features that make our judicial system independent and all the factors affecting its independence. The readers will be thoroughly informed about the factors with reference to the latest incidents and controversies, and related case laws.
