ABSTRACT
This research paper provides an in-dept analysis of Section 9 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 which is a crucial provision that sets up the jurisdictional boundaries and its implications on civil litigation in India. Section 9 is pivotal in establishing the authority of civil courts to adjudicate all suits of a civil nature unless explicitly or implicitly barred. The paper explores the fundamental legal principles underpinning jurisdiction, examines judicial interpretations, and assesses the practical implications of jurisdictional rulings. By examining recent case law and emerging trends, the research underscores the need for continuous evolution in judicial approaches to jurisdiction.
