INTRODUCTION
Marital Rape implies unwanted and nonconsensual sexual intercourse by a man with his wife wherein the man dominates, pressurizes threatens his wife subjecting her with physical violence, force, fear, etc. Marriage, in a patriarchal society, is considered to be a relationship where a wife is presumed to have given her consent to indulge in sexual intercourse with her husband after their marriage.
